FROM OUR DREAMS, Gira por Estados Unidos
El trabajo de casi dos años se concretó finalmente, una gira de 20 días por el Estado de Nuevo México, incluyendo las ciudades de Santa Fé y Albuquerque, realizando 13 presentaciones en diferentes lugares y escenarios, conociendo y disfrutando de la cultura de un lugar maravilloso.
Las 8 bailarinas del Elenco y sus directores, mostraron gran parte de sus repertorios, ante públicos respetuosos y curiosos además de aprender más allá de lo mostrado sobre los escenarios; los asistentes a nuestros shows, querían saber de nuestro valle, del origen de las danzas y muchas cosas más.
Fuimos grabados también, durante una de las presentaciones en IFAM (International folk art market), por PBS (cadena de televisión pública de Estados Unidos)
Así que las Semillas podrían aparecer en lo hogares de millones de norteamericanos mostrando su danza.
Lo social, como siempre también cumplió un rol importante durante la gira, colaboramos para el evento Pancakes on the plaza y actuamos para Wing for life, arte y cultura de Putaendo, quedarán en la memoria de nuestros anfitriones.
También vio nuestro trabajo la Gobernadora del Estado de Nuevo Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham y el Alcalde de la ciudad Alan Webber.
Dejamos un pedacito de nuestro valle en cada show, ya que las piedras bellamente trabajadas por un artesano del valle, fueron los presentes entregados por la delegación, en cada sitio que les toco visitar.
Nuestro agradecimiento, primero a la Ilustre Municipalidad de Putaendo que financió los tickets aéreos para esta gira y a quienes, tan lejos del hogar nos hicieron sentir cómodos, queridos y atendidos de la mejor manera, gracias al Club Rotarios Santa Fe Centro y gracias a los nuevos amigos que se hicieron tan lejos de casa.
Marchamos con sueños, ilusiones y regresamos con una carga de recuerdos, amor y cariño incalculables.
Un sueño ha terminado, mil más, han comenzado a germinar.
FROM OUR DREAMS, United States Tour
Our hard work from over two years has finally come to an end: we finished our tour of 20 days over the state of New Mexico, US, in the cities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, presenting 13 different performances in various locations and stages, getting to know and enjoying a wonderful culture from an amazing place!
Our 8 dancers from the Academy Crew and its directors showed great part of our repertoire to respectful and curious audiences. Our show assistants were also seeking to learn about our beautiful valley after our shows, wanting to understand more about the origin of the dances, amongst many other things.
We were also filmed during one of our presentations in the IFAM (International Folk Art Market) by PBS, a tv public showcast from the US.
This way, our Seeds were also able to appear in the tvs of millions of americans and were able to show their dances.
We were also able to participate and contribute to the "Pancakes event" on the town's plaza, and we performed in "Wing for Life, Art, and Cultura of Putaendo", making a permanent mark on our hosts.
Our work was also displayed to the Governor of the state of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, and the Mayor of the city, Alan Webber.
We also made sure to leave a little piece of our valley in every show: as a gift from our Academy, we gave beautiful rocks worked by an artisan from the Aconcagua Valley to every location we visited.
We want to thank first the Municipality of Putaendo, who financed our airplane tickets, and also our thanks to everyone who made us feel safe and comfortable away from our home. A huge thanks also to the Rotary Club of Santa Fe and to our new friends in the US.
We leave this amazing experience with dreams and hopes, and we come back to our home with suitcases filled with uncountable memories, and love.
A dream has ended, but a thousand more have just started to grow.

INTERNATIONAL GALAS AND FESTIVALS
Since its beginnings, the Academy has shared a sample of its work with Putaendo’s community, concluding each cycle with a Folk Gala. As the years went by, it has added more presentations in new locations and new staple artwork, such as its Commemoration Gala to Chile’s National Festivities (Fiestas Patrias), and its namesake and original performance known as: “Temporeros de la Danza”, shared in 2018. Exchange programs and workshops allowed the creation of the International Folk Dance Festival, “Temporeros sin Fronteras”, in 2019. Joined by institutions and dancers from Argentina and Uruguay, the Academy has included hundreds of participants in its history, adding to thousands of spectators that have appreciated the gathering of different cultures through dozens of rhythms, dances and creations.
CHAKAYMANTA INTERNACIONAL
CHAKAYMANTA INTERNATIONAL In 2016, “Semillas del Orolonco” became the sub-campus in Chile of the Chakaymanta International Company, originally from Mendoza, Argentina. This organization focuses on the development of traditional Argentinian folk dance, “danza estilizada” and “malambo”, under the administration of choreographer and dancer, Segio Magallanes. Other sub-campuses around the globe are the Chakaymanta sub-campus, “Tierra y Cielo Ballet”, under the administration of Fernando Veral in Minas, Uruguay; Chakaymanta United States sub-campus, under the supervision of Oscar Magallanes; and the recently joined Chakaymanta sub-campus, “Tierra del Fuego”, managed by professors Daniel Rivas and Lorena Lobo, in Río Grande, Argentina.

Después de conocer el mundo de la música, en su paso por el Elenco musical del Conjunto Oficial de la Fuerza Aérea de Chile, Copihual, por 17 años;
combinando su labor de funcionario público de la DGAC, donde además de sus labores profesionales desarrolló un marcado interés por la cultura y el deporte, comienza a gestar la idea de desarrollar, una vez instalado en su actual lugar de residencia, Putaendo, la creación de un sueño y un lugar de crecimiento artístico y formativo para niños y jóvenes que por diferentes razones no tienen acceso a academias o clases formales de danza. Junto a Cristina dan forma a la agrupación, buscando maestros que entienden y sensibilizan con su accionar; golpeando puertas, postulando a fondos y generando la autogestión para giras, galas y Festivales.
Patricio posee el Titulo Profesional en el área de las Telecomunicaciones.
Es también Técnico en Servicios de Vuelo.
Es Preparador Físico y entrenador Personal.

Diplomado en Gestión Cultural de la PUCV.
Diplomado en Producción de Espectáculos UNIACC
Teniendo capacitaciones Internacionales en Argentina, Francia y Corea del Sur.
Intenta poner al servicio de su agrupación sus capacidades y competencias, para por medio de un proceso serio, disciplinado, pero principalmente hecho desde y hacia el corazón de las personas, convertirse en un agente de cambio y mejora de la sociedad.
En su vida artística como músico se presentó en:

Cristina es una amante de la danza, Monitora de bailes y ritmos (PROPED), desde pequeña se acercó y unió a este arte, en su juventud realizó talleres y capacitaciones arribando el año 1992 al Elenco estable del Conjunto Folclórico oficial de la Fuerza Aérea de Chile, Copihual,siendo además de bailarina, Asesora administrativa de dicha entidad, hasta 2010, donde por razones personales se aleja momentáneamente de su gran pasión; se traslada a la comuna de Putaendo, donde comienza con clases de baile entretenido en diferentes espacios,hasta que el 2013 junto a su esposo y compañero, nace la idea de dar vida a la primera Academia de danza folclórica de la comuna, Semillas del Orolonco. Desde esa momento a la fecha ha creado más de 70 coreografías de danzas chilenas y latinas, trasmitiendo ahora a sus bailarinas y bailarines la pasión y el compromiso por el arte que se alberga por siempre en su cuerpo y en su alma. Nuestra directora asume también el rol de maquilladora, en cada presentación de nuestro Elenco y para los diferentes niveles de la Agrupación
Actualmente es la directora artística y la coreógrafa de todos los niveles de nuestro colectivo de danza. Cristina es designada como la coreógrafa de danzas latinas para Chakaymanta Internacional, ha sido jurado del primer certamen "ASI SE BAILA EN LAS SIERRAS", en Minas Uruguay. Ella y su esposo han sido distinguidos por la Vice Gobernación de la provincia de Mendoza, Argentina, por su aporte a la enseñanza y fomento de las tradiciones y de la cultura en año 2018. También en el marco del segundo Festival Internacional recibe el Reconocimiento del Intendente de la ciudad de Mendoza, año 2020
Su pasión, disciplina y compromiso, se ve reflejados en sus propuestas escénicas y sus montajes, en los que trasmite todo su compromiso y amor por la danza folclórica.

Dancer of body and soul
Cristina is a dance lover. Now a rhythm and dance monitor (PROPED), she first connected with this art when she was little, continuing developing her passion during her youth in workshops and training. In 1992, she joined the Official Musical Cast of the Chilean Air Force, Copihual as a dancer and an administrative adviser. She remained with the institution until 2010, when she momentarily retreated from performative dance and moved to Putaendo, where she started teaching fun and accessible dance classes. In 2013, joined by her partner and husband, they brought to life the idea of a folklore dance academy, later known as “Semillas del Orolonco”. Since then, she has created more than 70 latin and chilean choreographies, transmitting her passion and compromise to the art to her dancers and students. Our director now assumes the role of makeup artist in every performance of the Academy and for the different levels of the aggrupation.
Currently she is the artistic director and choreographer of all the levels of the Academy. Cristina is also the designated choreographer for the latin dances for Chakaymanta International, and was selected as a judge for the first edition of the “Así se baila en las sierras” contest, in Minas, Uruguay. She and her husband have been awarded for their contribution to the instruction and promotion of traditions and culture by the Vice Governorate of the Mendoza province, Argentina, in 2018. She has also been awarded the Mayor Recognition by the city of Mendoza in 2020, during the second event of the International Festival.
Her passion, discipline and compromise are reflected onto her scenic proposals and montages, which transmit her love for folklore dance to every spectator.
During her 18 years of active dancing, she has performed in the following events and locations:

Nuestra querida "Tía Isa", bailarina solista del "Ballet Folklórico Antumapu" de la Universidad de Chile,por 35 años,
Actualmente es la Directora de danza de esa compañía y Miembro del equipo técnico para producciones artísticas y parte de la comisión de estudios del Ballet participando en numerosas investigaciones en terreno, de norte a sur del país.
"Cada sábado que voy a Putaendo a trabajar con el grupo “Semillas del Orolonco” es un agrado. Recorro hermosos caminos hasta llegar a la Plaza de Putaendo. En una linda sala con grandes espejos, me esperan las chicas, las niñitas y los niños para realizar actividades de expresión corporal, de técnica clásica y de crecimiento personal. Un grupo muy variado en edades y con una característica común: todos con ganas de bailar y de pertenecer a este grupo llevando la música y sus bailes a escenarios, acostumbrados a trabajar con mucha disciplina. Un gusto trabajar con ellos. Sus directores Cristina y Patricio, con mucha creatividad y pasión por lo que hacen, han hecho crecer a este querido grupo. Known as “Tía Isa”, our dear professor was a soloist dancer of the “Ballet Folklórico Antumapu” of the University of Chile for 35 years. She is currently its Director of dance, a member of their technical team for artistic productions, and is part of their studies commission, allowing her to participate in a number of investigative journeys through the whole country. “It is a delight to go every Saturday to work with the ‘Semillas del Orolonco’ group. I travel beautiful roads to get to the center of Putaendo, and in a beautiful classroom with big mirrors are the young kids, awaiting to start their activities of body expression, classic techniques and personal growth. Even though it’s a very diverse group, they all share one common trait: their energy and passion for dance,for belonging to this group, and for bringing music and dance to the stage, through very disciplined work. It is a pleasure to work with them. Their directors, Cristina and Patricio, have allowed them to grow with creativity and passion. I am very thankful for being given the chance to work with them. El año 2019 realiza talleres de danza estilizada, tango, Jazz y montaje coreográfico de "Saberse los descalzos" con el Elenco de nuestra Academia.

Emmanuel Nievas, Mendoza Argentina
Argentinian dancer who is part of the Folk Ballet of Mendoza. He studied in Jesús Vera Arenas Dance School and was granted a scholarship by the Classical Ballet group of the National Cuyo University. Emmanuel has also participated as a member of the Hernán Piquín Company, performing artworks such as “Let it be” and “Bailando por un sueño”. He has participated in the National Fiesta of la Vendimia since 2006, specifically as a dancer and assistant choreographer in the years 2008, 2010 and 2018, and is currently a technique professor in the Chakaymanta company. Emmanuel is another great international professor who has gifted us with his talent, technique, and modesty to help our Seeds grow and evolve. In 2019, he gave workshops to the Academy’s Dance Crew focused on “danza estilizada”, tango, jazz, and choreographic scenery.

Bailarina profesional de danza espectáculo; con estudios en la Escuela de danza " Profesor Valero" y actualmente integrante del Centro de entrenamiento
de danzas urbanas "Doyoh".
Bailarina de diferentes y reconocidos artistas como "Bombo Fica" y "Paloma Mami".
Integrante por más de 10 años de un Ballet Folclórico, lugar en que forjó sus raíces y conocimientos.
Durante su carrera ha tomado clases de diferentes estilos y técnicas, para nutrir su lenguaje y porque tiene la consigna que un bailarín jamás debe dejar de
ser alumno.
En nuestra Academia se encarga de trasmitir y potenciar herramientas que ayuden a los alumnos a reconocer su conciencia corporal y espacial; además participa
como coreógrafa en algunos cuadros y montajes (Mapuche,polinésico y Obertura Festival, con el tema "Somos hijos de la Tierra")

Camila Basulto Miranda, Santiago Chile
Camila is a professional show dancer with studies from the “Profesor Valero” Dance School” and is currently a member of the “Doyoh” Urban Dance Training Center. She is also a dancer for different recognized artists, such as “Bombo Fica” and “Paloma Mami”. She has been a member of a folk ballet for more than 10 years, which she recognizes as the place that allowed her to grow her roots and acquire her current dance knowledge. Her entire career she has kept practicing and studying different styles and techniques, living up to the testament that a dancer never stops being a student. She is in charge of transmitting and strengthening tools that allow our Academy’s students to recognize their corporal and spacial awareness. She has also participated as a choreographer to some different performances and artworks of the Academy (Mapuche, Polinisean Opening Festival, with the song “Somos hijos de la Tierra ”.)

Sergio is a dancer, choreographer, and producer, with innumerable performances, artworks and productions displayed all through Argentina.
He has been a dancer for the international “Alejandra Rondines Danza'' Company in New York;
Dancer and choreographer for the Municipal Ballet of Mendoza and Federal Chakaymanta;
Judge on “Minas Uruguay”;
Delegate of the National Festival of Malambo Laborde, in the campus of Mendoza;
Producer of the National Argentinian Folk Dance in Mendoza;
Artistic assistant for the folk producer Sergio El Pampa Pérez, in La Peña de Morfi TELEFE, among other accomplishments.
Some of his achievements are listed as follows:
Recognition of the Ministry of Culture by declarations of the National Cultural Interest in “Casa Rosada”;
Declaration of the Provincial Cultural Interest by the Secretary of Culture of Mendoza, in 2017;
Official Delegate of the National Festival in Laborde, Mendoza, in 2017;

Integrantes del Ballet Folclórico Nacional BAFONA (1975 Y 1987), del Ballet Folclórico de Chile BAFOCHI (1988- 1999) y directores del
Ballet Arco Iris (1999-2008). Nuestros vestuaristas poseen un acabado conocimiento de la historia, alcance y utilización de los vestuarios folclóricos de raíz, proyección y espectáculo.
Una pareja con una gran sensibilidad artística, una experiencia a toda prueba; desde el año 20015 trabajan en la confección de los vestuarios de diferentes montajes para nuestra Academia.
Genios totales en su arte, grandes amigos y colaboradores, que aportan a nuestro caminar por la danza y la educación.

María Miranda and Ricardo Basulto
Members of the National Folk Ballet BAFONA (1975 and 1987), the Chilean Folk Ballet BAFOCHI (1988-1999), and directors of “Ballet Arco Iris” (1999-2008). Our costume designers hold an impeccable amount of knowledge about the history, use, and range of folk and show costumes. María and Ricardo, a couple with incredible artistic sensibility and a wide range of experiences, have been working on the design of costumes for different performances of the Academy since 2015. They are unbelievable geniuses in the design arts, great friends and contributers that have consistently helped out through the Academy’s journey of dance and education.

NIVEL ADULTO:Danza, alegría,constancia y entusiasmo
Nace con algunas madres de bailarines y se suman ex integrantes del Elenco, se abre finalmente a quien lo desee y este hermoso grupo comienza a dar parte de su tiempo a la danza, todas ellas trabajadoras o estudiantes.
Siempre con ganas de aprender y perseverar.
Levels
Our methodology
LEVEL SEMILLAS: Get to know the world.
Childhood, the most sensible stage for learning. A special care and treat is necessary for these future dancers, so as to teach them rhythms, movements, and discipline from a young age.
ADULT LEVEL: Dance, joy, commitment, and enthusiasm.
This level started from a group of the dancers’ moms, and later integrated some ex members of the Academy’s Dance Crew. Currently it is open to whoever is motivated to dedicate some of their time to dance, alongside the beautiful group of workers and students who have never lost their desire for learning and perseverance.
Elenco
Constancia, pasión, talento y disciplina
Jóvenes y niños, conforman nuestro Elenco, saben que están aprendiendo, que su compromiso es mayor y que premio a su esfuerzo, sumado al de sus padres, se les ha abierto una pequeña ventana, al bello mundo de las artes escénicas Ya con 7 años han conocido de intercambios, viajes dentro y fuera del país, Festivales, maestros y muchas bellas experiencias. Todo este cúmulo de vivencias, enfocadas en crecer, mejorar, expresar e ir sintiendo en cada fibra de su alma, cuerpo y espíritu un amor a toda prueba por y para la danza, para que en algunos años más, vuelvan a ser parte de este ciclo siempre virtuoso de dar y recibir amor por el folclore. Escenarios: tímidamente realizan su primera presentación en el CESFAM Valle Los Libertadores, para desde ahí ir sumando lugares y momentos: Dirección Meteorológica de Chile, Media Luna de Putaendo, Carnaval de la Chaya 2014, Teatro Municipal de San Felipe, Festival Muralista, Encuentro Corrales del Chalaco, Colegio Alegría Catán, Teatro Municipal de Punta Arenas, Escuela José de San Martín, Teatro PCDV, Encuentro de Orquestas Juveniles, Colegio Artístico Santa Cecilia de Osorno, Teatro Diego Rivera de Puerto Montt,Liceo Manuel Marín F.; Escenario Puente de Cimbra, Teatro de Liceo Roberto Humere, Peña de la Familia Vargas, Ramada de Los Sánchez, Oberturas Carnaval de la Chaya 2020; Teatro Lavalleja (Uruguay), Parque Rodó (Uruguay), Certamen "ASÍ SE BAILA EN LAS SIERRAS 2017-2018-2019 en Uruguay, Plaza Independencia ciudad de Minas Uruguay; Teatro Gabriela Mistral en Mendoza Argentina, Nave Cultural, Mendoza Argentina y Teatro Mendoza del misma ciudad.
Dance Crew
Commitment, passion, talent and discipline
The Academy’s Dance Crew is joined by young people and kids who have been introduced to the beautiful world of the performing arts and who have consistently shown a great compromise, alongside their parents. In 7 years, they have already participated in exchange programs, national and international traveling, festivals, meeting wonderful professors, and many more great experiences. This mixture of life-experiences, focused on their growth, improvement, and expression of their love for dance, is mainly to help them become part of the virtuous circle of receiving love from and giving appreciation to folklore in their future The Academy’s Dance Crew started performing in the CESFAM Valle Los Libertadores, and has not stopped since. They have also performed in stages such as the Meteorological Direction of Chile, Putaendo’s Rodeo Arena, the “Chaya” Festival in 2014, Municipal Theater of San Felipe, Muralist Festival, “Corrales del Chalaco” Gathering, Alegría Catan School, Municipal Theater of Punta Arena, José de San Martín School, PCDV Theater, Youth Orchestras’ Gathering, Santa Cecilia de Osorno Artistic School, Diego Rivera Theater in Puerto Montt, Manuel Marín F. School, Cimbra Bridge Show Stage, Roberto Humere School Theater, Vargas Family’s Folk Gala, “Ramada” of Los Sanchez, Opening of the “Chaya” Festival in 2020, Lavalleja Theater in Uruguay, Rodó Park in Uruguay, “Así se Baila en las Sierras” Contest 2017-2018-2019 in Uruguay, Independence Plaza in Minas, Uruguay, Gabriela Mistral Theater in Mendoza, Argentina, “Nave Cultural” in Mendoza, Argentina, and Mendoza Theater in Argentina.

Patricia Rubio Cisneros es una estudiante chilena-venezolana y residente de la Provincia de San Felipe. Su familia paterna escapó del país durante la dictadura, tomando refugio en Venezuela y regresando a Chile en el 2014. Fue integrante de la Orquesta de Instrumentos Andinos de Putaendo, presentándose en encuentros binacionales en distintas ciudades de Chile. También ha participado de actividades artísticas-culturales organizadas por SENDA y la Municipalidad de Putaendo. Inspirada por el trabajo y el mensaje de las Semillas del Orolonco, Patricia se ofrece de manera voluntaria para ayudar a la agrupación a ser reconocida por el mundo, eliminando la barrera del lenguaje al traducir sus publicaciones en inglés. “Las Semillas del Orolonco son un importante referente cultural de las raíces chilena, para mí es un honor poder contribuir a esparcir su arte y mensaje para que llegue a todo el mundo.” Patricia Rubio Cisneros is a Chilean and Venezuelan student living in the Province of San Felipe. Her father’s family escaped from the country during the dictatorship, taking refuge in Venezuela, and finally coming back to Chile in 2014. She was part of the Andean Instrument Orchestra of Putaendo, performing and participating in binational musical encounters in different Chilean cities. She has also been part of many artistic and cultural activities organized by SENDA and the Municipality of Putaendo. Inspired by the work and message of the “Semillas del Orolonco”, Patricia volunteers to help the agrupation be known around the world by eliminating the language barrier through the translation of their posts to English. “The ‘Semillas del Orolonco’ are an important cultural reference of the chilean roots and traditions. It’s an honor to be able to contribute to spreading their message and art throughout the world.”
